As a healer, I value people's expertise on their own lives - meaning I believe we are all gifted with intuition that allows us to have a general recognition of what does and does not serve us. Sometimes, we go through things that leave us feeling "stuck", powerless, and distrustful of our capacity to make sense of our experiences. In turn, we become disconnected from this ‘inner knowing’ as well as our ability to recognize our needs.
I believe that healing lies in "tuning-in" and connecting with this part of ourselves.
As a therapist, I encourage this by taking an existential and person-centered approach with my clients, which means working with me is all about personal exploration. Exploration of “who I am, how I view my world, how I exist in my world, and what is it that I need to make my world better”.
For me, one of the most important components of helping others to explore and connect with themselves is helping them assign meaning to their experiences while also developing trust in their own personal power.
Together, you and I will work to achieve this by exploring tools that allow you to actualize your ‘inner knowing’, develop constructive perspectives, and build awareness around your personal strengths and needs.
